The Dojo Kun is often recited at the end of a karate class by the students as a reminder of why we train.
Taken from Funakoshi's Twenty Guiding Principles, the Dojo Kun should be recited in unison, with conviction and passion.

Hitotsu. Jinkaku kansei ni tsutomuru koto
Seek perfection of character

Hitotsu. Makoto no michi o mamoru koto
Be faithful

Hitotsu. Doryoku no seishin o yashinau koto
Endeavor

Hitotsu. Reigi o omonzuru koto
Respect others

Hitotsu. Keki no yu o imashimuru koto
Refrain from violent behavior
