Started training in 1994 under Sensei Ehab Badawy of the MKA (Moawad Karate
Association) at Mississauga Recreation and Parks community centres.

Attained MKA Shodan, Nidan, and Sandan in 2000, 2002, and 2005 respectively.

Attained official JKA Shodan, Nidan, and Sandan in 2011, 2012, and 2016
respectively, from Sensei Minoru Saeki, Chief Instructor of Canada.
